I was outside calming myself down, trying not the think about all those things that were said to Tom Robinson. I could not take it anymore I finally had to just get out of that courtroom, so me and scout left very quietly and went outside. When we went out there we saw Dolphus Raymond sitting there drinking his usual, whisky. We were standing there watching him; I was sitting down holding my stomach because I felt like I was stuck in a predicament that I couldn’t get out of. I was sitting there when Dolphus Raymond came over and asked if I was ok. I was thinking of all the things Scout told me about him I didn’t really know what to say, but I finally just said yes I’m fine. He thought I didn’t and he offered me something to drink, I was not sure about drinking this but he said it was coca-cola. I was so confused about this so very slowly I took a drink while Scout was talking to him and it was Coca-Cola. I told Scout acting so surprised and he said what did you think it was. I told him the truth and he told me the whole story of why he actually puts it in a bag and acts drunk. I had a major apprehension on this; I did not think this man would be so nice (it was so surprising to me).
I was finally fine and we told Dolphus goodbye and that was the end. We walked inside very steadily and went right back up to our seats and sat back down. Jem told us what happened and it was time for Atticus’s ending statement. He went on and on about how Mayella’s guilt was really true, but I know deep down that he knew the jury was not going to take. He did a very good job of being able to sustain the jury, but finally it was over and it was time for them to deliberate. But as Atticus was just finishing Calpurnia walked in and was walking down the aisle, me, Jem and Scout all looked at each other. She was walking down the aisle with something in her hand she handed it to Atticus and had a puzzled face. He asked where we were, and we were so scared of what he might do, he asked where we were and he found us and told us to come right down. We all got up and went downstairs. Atticus and Cal were waiting for us down there we went right to them. Once we got down there right away Jem asked if we could come back and he said yes which I thought to me was very improbable. But he said eat supper slow because the jury needs to deliberate.
As we were gone we did not want to eat supper fast, Cal had told me to check with my aunt that I was there the whole time and she seemed fine. After a few hours we went back to find out the final answer. Unfortunatly I had fallen asleep because I was so tired and couldn’t take anymore. Although before I fell asleep I knew Jem was going to wake me up and tell me so I knew I was fine.
As I got woken up it was from Jem because he told me to listen up, and yet Tom Robinson was guilty as I was waking up. I saw Atticus packing up and walking out the door, as he walking up everyone in our seating area stood up and as did me, Scout and Jem. Atticus walked out and we all went after him. Jem was upset and was practically crying which was very inevitable, me and Scout both looked at him. We didn’t really know what to say, but Jem did once we caught up with Atticus. He said that he was so upset and he knew it wasn’t right. And I believed him it wasn’t.

I really liked how you said that you were outside trying to calm yourself and not think about the things that were said to Tom Robinson. I also liked how you talked about Cal walking into the court and that Atticus had a puzzled look on his face. I think that you did a really good job on acting like Dill and showing what he thought happened during these chapters.
